MBA Student Leadership Award ACG Atlanta honored four of Georgia’s top MBA students with its inaugural Student Leadership Award. Winners receive $3,000 in financial assistance, but the award comes with another benefit far more valuable than money: high-level business contacts. Recipients of the Student Leadership Award receive complimentary membership in ACG Atlanta. With this membership, the MBA students will meet some of Atlanta’s most influential business leaders. "Our monthly meetings and the annual Capital Connection bring together the most respected and connected professionals in private equity, investment banking, commercial banking and other areas involved with company growth," said Stuart Johnson, president of ACG Atlanta and a partner in law firm Powell Goldstein LLP. "These are the people who MBA students need to get in front of. Likewise, these outstanding MBA students are the kind of young people our members want to meet. The Student Leadership Award will prove to be a mutually beneficial honor for everyone involved." Added Mike Bloom, the ACG Atlanta member who spearheaded development of the Student Leadership Award: "Our goal is to foster the spirit and practice of corporate growth with young business professionals who have chosen to further their formal business education in Georgia’s universities. We can think of no better way to do that than put them directly in touch with the business leaders of the Atlanta community." Winners of this year’s award include Heather Lewis of the Goizueta Business School, Emory University; Will Kilgore of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University; Jeff Ramsaur of the College of Management, Georgia Institute of Technology; and Rudy Weber of the Terry College of Business, University of Georgia.
