WELCOME!

 Welcome to ACG Minnesota!

Join us on Tuesday, Nov. 18 as we examine Special Purpose Acquisition Corporations (SPACs).  SPACs raise equity through IPOs, and are thus an alternative to reverse mergers.

Our panel will examine the recent use of a SPAC, and discuss the circumstances when a SPAC is best used.

Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008
Marquette Hotel - 50th Floor - IDS Center
11:30 am luncheon

***Mark your calendars for the ACG Cup***

In February 2009 ACG Minnesota will host its first "ACG Cup".  The contest is a case study competition that gives students from leading MBA programs real world experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advisory, and private equity.

Student teams have a week to analyze a situation and ultimately present valuation, capital markets, and M&A strategic advice to a panel of professionals from the ACG community.

M&A professionals get the opportunity to see the next generation of talent coming out of leading business schools, and participate in an unparalleled education opportunity.

Interested in becoming a member of ACG Minnesota?  Annual dues are $375!  Click on the "join" button above to apply for membership!

Please note: In order to maintain a good ratio between service and corporate

members in the chapter, Minnesota ACG now requires each new Service member to bring in a Corporate or Equity Group member to balance the membership. If you are a new Service Provider member, you must have a Corporate or Private Equity Group member join with you at the time you join. Also please note that Service Provider eligibility will be cut off at 200 members.  After that you will be added to a waitlist until something opens up.  We have also implemented a new application approval system that will support these requirements.

Also, guests/nonmembers are invited to come to 2 meetings. After that time you will be required to join ACG Minnesota to continue coming to our events.  Thank you
