Bob Schieffer
CBS News Chief Washington Correspondent
Anchor, Face the Nation

Bob Schieffer has received virtually every award in broadcast journalism, but the greatest honor was bestowed upon him in March 2005 when his alma mater, Texas Christian University, created the Schieffer School of Journalism. Schieffer anchored the CBS Evening News from March 10, 2005 to August 31, 2006, an 18-month period that saw a substantial increase in viewers. Prior to that, Schieffer covered Washington for CBS News for more than 30 years and has served as the moderator of Face the Nation, CBS News’ Sunday public affairs broadcast, since 1991. He is also CBS News’ chief Washington correspondent.

Mr. Schieffer is one of the few broadcast or print journalists to have covered all four major beats in the nation's capital—the White House, the Pentagon, the State Department and Capitol Hill. He became chief Washington correspondent in 1982. He has covered every presidential campaign and been a floor reporter at all the Democratic and Republican National Conventions since 1972.

Mr. Schieffer is a member of the Broadcasting/Cable Hall of Fame and is the recipient of the 2003 Paul White Award presented by the Radio-Television News Directors Association. The award recognizes an individual's lifetime contribution to electronic journalism and past CBS recipients include Edward R. Murrow ('64), Morley Safer ('66), Walter Cronkite ('70, '81), Don Hewitt ('87), Mike Wallace ('91), Charles Kuralt ('94), Dan Rather ('97) and Ed Bradley (2000).

Over the years, he has won six Emmys and two Sigma Delta Chi Awards. In 2002, the National Press Foundation chose Schieffer as Broadcaster of the Year. He has been a principal anchor for CBS News since 1973, when he was named anchor of the CBS Sunday Night News.

Tony Blankley
Panelist, The McLaughlin Group
Editorial Page Editor, The Washington Times

For seven years, Tony Blankley served as press secretary to then Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich. In that role, he not only helped create the messages that shook the country, but also helped create policy. Blankley's knack for appetizing sound bites (which he calls his "poor-man's poetry") and sound political strategy made him one of Washington's premiere sources of ideas and insights.

Working for the most renowned Speaker of the House in decades, Blankley became one of the leading spokesmen for the Contract with America. Prior to his career on Capitol Hill, Blankley served President Reagan as a speechwriter and senior policy analyst. After leaving Newt Gingrich's office in February 1997, Tony Blankley joined John F. Kennedy Jr.'s George magazine. As a contributing editor, Blankley's monthly column "Between the Lines" featured his inside-the-beltway insights. Blankley is a regular panelist on the McLaughlin Group and he also appears regularly on CNN's Crossfire, as well as MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews, Rivera Live, The News with Brian Williams and Fox News' Hannity & Colmes.

In June 1999, Blankley joined The Washington Times as a weekly political columnist. Creators Syndicate internationally syndicates his column. The same depth of knowledge and sharp wit that kept reporters turning to him during his time on Capitol Hill have made Blankley one of today's leading media commentators.

Terry McAuliffe
Former Chairman, Democratic National Committee
Chairman, Hillary Clinton for President Exploratory Committee

Terry McAuliffe served as Chairman of the Democratic National Committee from February 2001-February 2005. He is widely credited with rebuilding, reenergizing, and revitalizing the Party, using new state of the art technology to connect grassroots activists with the Party's new information infrastructure. He is an engaging and enlightening presenter who speaks with candor, humor, and great insight, and is especially dynamic in a debate.

Mr. McAuliffe's New York Times and Washington Post best-selling book, titled What a Party!: My Life Among Democrats: Presidents, Candidates, Donors, Activists, Alligators and Other Wild Animals was released in January 2007. He is also serving as the Chairman of the Hillary Clinton for President Exploratory Committee.

Rick Reilly
Sports Illustrated Senior Writer

Rick Reilly is in his 21st year as a senior writer for Sports Illustrated. He has been voted National Sportswriter of the Year ten times, including for 2005. He is the author of the weekly "Life of Reilly" column, which runs on the last page of Sports Illustrated. It is the first signed weekly opinion column in the magazine's 51-year history.

The New York Daily News called him "one of the funniest humans on the planet." Publishers Weekly called him, "an indescribable amalgam of Dave Barry, Jim Murray, and Lewis Grizzard, with the timing of Jay Leno and the wit of Johnny Carson."

His book Who's Your Caddy? in which he caddies for everyone from Jack Nicklaus to Donald Trump to a $50,000-a-hole gambler, rose to number three on the New York Times best-seller list. His other book, The Life of Reilly: The Best of Sports Illustrated's Rick Reilly also was a New York Times bestseller.
