How long have you been an ACG member? Why did you join ACG?
I was a guest at several breakfast meetings prior to joining ACG fourteen months ago. The chapter meetings were a great forum for networking with other professionals. The Association is home to a wide variety of corporations from varying industries as well as a host of finance, private equity and service firms. The friendly atmosphere and the warmth of the University Club made it easy to meet new people and build relationships. This is a wonderful group of professionals all looking for the ways to work together to create value that will benefit our businesses and community and … the annual membership dues are very reasonable.
Describe the value of ACG to you/your organization.
First, Gill Industries is a global manufacturer of engineered, mechanical assemblies. We provide world-class manufacturing, prototyping, product and tool design, engineering, testing and analysis to customers in the automotive, furniture, medical and multi-use vehicle markets. Over the last year ACG hosted industry specialists who spoke on pertinent and timely topics facing businesses today. Through sharing their areas of expertise and best practices our organization’s knowledge base expands. The meetings allow for members to speak directly with experts in many fields, putting an array of resources at your fingertips.
Can you share how ACG supports your job objectives?
ACG has enhanced my professional growth while providing a conduit for corporate growth opportunities. Several large international manufacturing companies reside in West Michigan and this Chapter affords access to executives in those firms. Keeping our customers competitive in a global economy means being where opportunities are created and new ideas exchanged.
